Tagging and cataloguing your wine.

Choose from the range of Vinoté Numbered Tags and Wine Cellar Software. Alternatively choose to use the Vinoté Catalogue for manual entry of your wines.

Vinoté Tags are indestructible and everlasting, easily read and adhere tightly to bottles. They carry a barcode and unique number providing a secure system for locating wines and for maintaining an everlasting accurate wine inventory.

Use a barcode scanner to read the barcode on the bottles for quick data entry.

Cellaring with confidence

Leave your tagged wines undisturbed in your wine cellar, knowing that you will choose the most suitable wine for each occasion and that you will always find that wine when the time comes to open it. Your wines will age gracefully.

Your wine records are permanently linked to the numbered tags for accurate and everlasting wine identification in all cellar conditions.

Selecting your wines with ease

From your wine software, catalogue or cellar list and using filters and sorting features, you will easily choose a suitable wine. You record the tag number of your selected wines on a slip of paper and go to your cellar

Locating your wines

Your visit to the cellar is brief and rewarding, as you quickly look over the numbered tags to find the wine of your choice.

Practically speaking, your wines are randomly placed in the cellar in groups of no more than 100 bottles; these groupings and their location are recorded in your wine cellar software. You only remember and seek the last three digits of the seven digit number on each tag; these last three digits are printed in a larger font. Finding a single three digit number amongst 100 bottles will take you less than 20 seconds.

Enjoying your wine

The problem with wine in relationship to cellaring is that wine contains alcohol. Alcohol and accuracy are not closely allied.

It is for this reason that so many of the world’s cellars are inadequately catalogued and carry wines which are over aged and lost to their owners.

Using the Vinoté system, you will always enjoy your wines, knowing that the numbered tag (residing in a container or even your pocket) will be used later to update your database (using the barcode scanner to input the tag number).

You know your wine inventory will remain accurate and your chosen wine will always be there to find.

Why numbered tags?

Can you imagine a world without individual check numbers, phone numbers, credit card numbers, car plate numbers or raffle ticket numbers? We can't imagine a wine cellar without individually numbered wine bottle tags.

Referring to a wine by its producer, vintage and variety is the ideal way of communicating about a wine. However it is not the ideal way for you to find a wine in a wine cellar.

While a cell reference, in cellar software, will take you to a distinct cellar location - wines do “move”; either out of the cellar unrecorded, or to another nearby cell, leaving you with “lost” wine and a damaged inventory.

Alcohol and accuracy do not mix. Retaining numbered wine bottle tags after opening a wine, for entering into your wine software at a later time, will enhance your database accuracy.

Remember - a poor cellar inventory means wasted wines.
